Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Second Slavic Baptist Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
The Bible
The Bible is God-breathed, irreproachable, and the complete Word of God.
God
God is alive, true, eternal, and One in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Mankind
Man was made in the image and likeness of God.
Sin
Sin is a rebellion against the absolute authority of God.
Salvation
Salvation is given to us by God by grace through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and is available to everyone who believes.
Church
The Church is the Body of Christ; the unity of true disciples of Christ.
Family
Family is the reciprocal commitment of man and woman to each other before God; it is also the birth and rearing up of children.
Government
The government is instituted by God for maintaining order, protection, and punishment.
Spiritual World
The spiritual world is a reality of heaven and hell, of the holy and the fallen angels.
End Times
The end times lead to the rapture of the Church, the reign of Christ on earth, judgment, and eternity.
